October 25, 08.32, Summary of the night, Östergötland County

Here follow a selection of the night's events:

23.37, Söderköping: Police are alerted to Söderköping after an A-tractor and a security vehicle were close to colliding, whereupon the A-tractor drove into a fence. The driver and any possible passenger in the A-tractor are then believed to have run from the scene. Police have contacted the vehicle owner, who is the parent of the suspected driver. Police have filed a report on evading a traffic accident, as well as unauthorized driving. The vehicle has been seized for technical examination.

00.48, Finspång: Police are alerted to Finspång where a 45-year-old man has been injured with a blunt object. The incident occurred at, or near, a pub. The man has been injured with a sharp object but does not have life-threatening injuries; he is taken to hospital and has been able to leave hospital care overnight. Later that night, two men in their 25s are arrested, suspected of obstructing justice. The incident is being investigated as attempted murder, but no one is suspected or arrested for that crime. The police have worked overnight to search for clues at the scene and talk to witnesses. The police will now continue with information gathering, which includes, for example, continued questioning of witnesses and review of any video material.

01.57, Norrköping: A teenage girl has attempted to use another person's identity document. The girl is checked in Old Town in Norrköping and is then driven home to her parents. The girl is suspected of forgery.

02.39, Stora torget, Linköping: A drunk man has made threats against a security guard, and tried to run away from a patrol. The man, who is 25 years old, is apprehended under the Law on Public Order and Safety and is suspected of threatening a public official.

03.03, Ågatan, Linköping: Police are alerted to a fight between several parties, where someone appears to be chasing someone else. Upon inspection, two men are found. A 20-year-old man and a 25-year-old man are suspected of mutual assault. Neither of them has been seriously injured.
