polisanmälan

A report of a crime to the Police. You can make one online for many common crimes, call 114 14 at any time, or go to a police station. If someone is in danger or a crime is happening now, call 112.

A police report is needed to start an investigation, and insurance companies usually ask for one before they pay for theft or damage. You get a reference number to quote in later contact.

The 114 14 line is open around the clock and answers in Swedish and English. The Police can also help victims of crime to get support.
