grounds of discrimination
The seven grounds that the Swedish Discrimination Act protects: sex, transgender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation and age. Discrimination in the legal sense is being treated worse, or having your dignity violated, in a way linked to one of these grounds.
The law covers working life, education, housing, goods and services, healthcare and more. Harassment, sexual harassment, lack of accessibility and instructions to discriminate also count.
You can report discrimination to the Equality Ombudsman (DO). If what happened was unfair but not linked to one of the grounds, DO's English pages list other bodies that may help.
