The warning for snowfall applies to eastern Svealand – Stockholm, Södermanland, and Uppland.

This morning, rain has turned into wet snow with a risk of snow slush. It may become difficult to navigate traffic due to poor visibility and slippery roads. The warning applies until 12 o'clock and affects, among other places, Katrineholm, Stockholm, and Uppsala.

Several traffic accidents have occurred this morning. Currently, there are no reports of serious accidents.

In police region Mitt, there has been a road accident on E18, near Bålsta. The rescue service is on its way. Otherwise, it's relatively calm so far, says commander Marcus Isberg.

In Norrtälje, two people have been taken to hospital after two cars collided on county road 276. Two rear-end collisions occurred in quick succession on E20 outside Kumla. One person has been taken to hospital, the police write on their website.

This afternoon, a yellow warning has been issued for sudden ice slicks in southeastern Svealand and northern Götaland – from Borås in the south to Stockholm in the north. As the temperature drops rapidly, there is a risk of wet roads freezing over.
