Donald Trump has in a presidential decree decided to send 1,500 soldiers to the US border against Mexico.
They will there help the border police to protect the border and assist with logistics, transport, and construction of barriers, according to information from the Pentagon.
The US has previously had a force of around 2,500 people – reservists and members of the national guard – at the border.
