A truck and a car have collided on road 205 south of Degerfors.
It appears that the truck is lying on its side and that the railway is also affected, which means that there is a stop in train traffic as well, says police spokesman Anders Dahlman to TT.
One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the injuries is not known.
The alarm about the accident came at around 3 pm on Tuesday.
The road is blocked after the accident and traffic is being diverted to other roads. According to the Transport Administration, there will be a stop on the road section until 10 pm.
A heavy-duty tow truck has been called, but I don't know when it will arrive, says Anders Dahlman.
There is also a stop in train traffic between Degerfors and Laxå, which affects trains between Stockholm and Karlstad, among other things. There is no prognosis yet for when the trains can start running on the section again.
