Despite a tough economic situation in several areas, only two of the country's regions are choosing to raise taxes next year. This is shown by a review conducted by Altinget.

The final decisions have not been made in all regions, but documents and minutes show that Region Värmland and Region Dalarna are the only ones that will raise taxes.

In Värmland, where the region is governed by the Social Democrats, the Centre Party, and the Left Party, it involves an increase of 60 öre. In Dalarna, the Social Democrats, the Centre Party, the Christian Democrats, and Dalarna's Healthcare Party have agreed on a tax increase of 35 öre.

Region Stockholm has the country's highest regional tax at 12.38 kronor, followed by Örebro at 12.30. Region Värmland will, after the increase, land at 12.28 kronor, the country's third highest.
