After a vote early on Tuesday morning, Swedish time, the trade union approved the employer's new offer. 59 percent of the connected members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) who work at Boeing voted yes.
This means that the approximately 33,000 striking members can now return to their jobs at the aircraft manufacturer.
The offer from the employer was the fourth in the negotiations, and the third that the trade union members voted on. This includes, among other things, a 38 percent wage increase over four years. However, the union did not get through its demands to restore a previous pension plan that was scrapped ten years ago.
According to IAM, members can return to work as early as Wednesday, or at the latest on November 12.
