In the week, a shipment of 23 stolen boat engines will return to Sweden from Poland and Romania, where they were recovered.
The engines were stolen from several locations in Sweden, some as far back as 2016.
"The engines have been identified with the help of, among other things, engine numbers, which have been compared with the information available in the police reports", says Thomas Andersson, regional responsible for the Boat Cooperation project, on the police website.
Last year, over a thousand boat engine thefts were reported in Sweden, the majority in the Stockholm police region.
