Russia's president Vladimir Putin has decided to sack four deputy defence ministers.
According to a decree from the Kremlin, Nikolaj Pankov, Ruslan Tsalikov, Tatiana Sjevtsova, and Pavel Popov will leave their roles, reports Reuters.
Among the individuals taking over the posts are Putin's relative, Anna Tsivileva. Also, Pavel Fradkov, son of former Prime Minister Michail Fradkov, and Leonid Gornin, previously deputy finance minister, will take over from the sacked deputy defence ministers.
In May, it became clear that Oleg Saveljev will also assume the role of deputy defence minister.
The new deputy defence ministers will work under Defence Minister Andrej Belousov, who recently replaced Sergej Sjojgu in the post.
