A official at the Ukrainian nuclear power plant Zaporizjzja, which is occupied by Russia, has been killed in a Ukrainian car bomb attack, according to representatives of both countries.
Ukraine's military intelligence service confirms that the official, who was the security chief at the facility, was killed in a car bomb early on Friday. In the statement, the official is called a "war criminal" who "voluntarily collaborated with the Russian invasion force".
Kyiv has attacked several high-profile individuals who it claims have collaborated with Russian forces since the start of the invasion war in February 2022.
Russian authorities also confirm the security chief's death in a "terrorist attack". The car exploded when he started it outside his residence and he later died at the hospital, it is reported.
