Swedish gang criminals are now found in all of Norway's police districts. This is according to the head of the Norwegian national criminal police, Kristin Kvigne, to Sveriges Radio Ekot.
She is concerned about the cooperation that exists between criminals across the Swedish-Norwegian border.
I am concerned that Swedish organized crime will establish itself here on its own, she says to the radio.
Kvigne is also worried that Norwegian criminals will copy the methods of Swedish gang criminals – and specifically mentions the recruitment of very young people.
One sees a certain idealization, glamorization of the gangster life. We must work against this from a broad societal perspective, she says.
