Granngården estimates the consequential costs of the hacker attack on IT supplier Tietoevry to around 100 million kronor. The animal and gardening company is now preparing a lawsuit against Tietoevry.
"The incident has had extensive economic consequences for us and has been demanding for our customers and employees. We believe that Tietoevry in Sweden has contributed to this situation and acted grossly irresponsibly through inadequate security in their operations", writes Svenn Ivar Fure, CEO of Granngården's owner, Norwegian Felleskjøpet Agri, in a press release.
Several companies were affected as users of Tietoevry's IT system when it was hacked in January earlier this year.
For Granngården's part, sales were negatively affected due to deficiencies in, among other things, inventory systems, which caused products to run out in stores, according to the company.
