Israel is buying 25 units of the next generation F-15 fighter jets from Boeing for 19.4 billion shekel, around 56 billion Swedish kronor, according to the Ministry of Defense on X.
The agreement is part of a broader aid package from the USA that was announced earlier this year. The planes are expected to start being delivered in 2031 with four to six planes annually.
"This F-15 division represents, together with the third F-35 division acquired earlier this year, a historic improvement of our air power and strategic reach – capabilities that have proven to be decisive during the ongoing war", writes the Ministry of Defense.
