The G7 countries confirm that they will lend 50 billion dollars, approximately 530 billion Swedish kronor, to Ukraine.
The agreement concerns profits from Russian assets that were frozen by Western allies and will now be available for use by Ukraine.
The deal has been in the works and was reached in connection with the G7 summit in Apulia, Italy, last summer.
"We have once again made clear our unwavering commitment to support Ukraine for as long as necessary. Time is not on President Putin's side," the G7 countries, consisting of the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, and Italy, write in a statement.
The goal is for the support to start being paid out by the end of the year.
