At least 76 people have now been confirmed dead after a boat with migrants sank in the Gulf of Aden near Yemen on Sunday, according to Yemeni officials.
Of the 157 people, mostly Ethiopian migrants, who according to the UN's migration organization IOM were on board the ship, about thirty have been rescued. Dozens of people are still missing.
Despite the war that has ravaged Yemen since 2014, irregular migration via the poor country has continued, especially from Ethiopia, which has also been ravaged by ethnic conflicts.
