The CEO of the Swedish-British pharmaceutical company Astra Zeneca, Leon Wang, is being investigated by Chinese authorities. This is stated by Astra Zeneca in a press release.
The company does not want to provide any details about what the investigation concerns.
Earlier this autumn, several former and current employees were arrested by Chinese police, reports Bloomberg. Whether the events have anything to do with each other is not known.
The Astra Zeneca share falls after the news of the investigation.
