The American e-commerce giant Amazon did not entirely live up to market expectations.
The revenue for the second quarter amounted to 147.98 billion dollars, equivalent to approximately 1,580 billion kronor. This can be compared to the analysts' forecast of 148.56 billion dollars, reports CNBC.
The profit per share, on the other hand, was 1.26 dollars, compared to the analysts' average forecast of 1.03 dollars, according to the analysis firm LSEG.
The revenue from the cloud service Amazon Web Services, AWS, was 26.3 billion dollars, compared to the expected 26 billion, according to the analysis firm Street Account.
The company's share has performed strongly this summer, and reached a new record level at the beginning of July.
In Thursday's after-hours trading, the share fell by around five percent during the first half hour.
