The reconstruction plan for the crisis-stricken wind farm Markbygden Ett is complete. At the same time, an agreement has been reached with the Norwegian aluminum manufacturer Hydro, which could give Hydro the right to nearly 2.9 billion kronor, reports Dagens Industri.
In connection with the wind farm's application for reconstruction last year, deliveries of electricity to the Norwegian conglomerate ceased, which led Hydro to claim damages.
According to the reconstruction plan, now complete, it is established that Hydro has the right to compensation. The exact amount will depend, among other things, on how the sale of the wind farm proceeds.
We are pleased that the parties have reached an agreement and approved the reconstruction plan, and that Hydro's claim for compensation has been recognized, says Anders Vindegg, information manager at Hydro, to Di.
Whether Hydro would be interested in buying Markbygden Ett, he declines to comment.
