1. Alla tiders

Literal translation: All times. Meaning: Something being really great.

2. Ana ugglor i mossen

Literal translation: Sense owls in the bog. Meaning: To sense something suspicious.

3. Bjuda med armbågen

Literal translation: Invite someone with the elbow. Meaning: Invite someone without really wanting them to come.

4. Ta sig vatten över huvudet

Literal translation: Take water over your head. Meaning: To take on more than you can handle, or to get yourself into a situation that’s too difficult.

5. Gå som katten kring het gröt

Literal Translation: To walk like a cat around hot porridge. Meaning: To avoid confronting an issue directly, to beat around the bush.

6. Som man bäddar får man ligga

Literal Translation: As you make your bed, so you must lie in it. Meaning: You have to live with the consequences of your actions, similar to the English "You made your bed, now lie in it."

7. Var sak har sin tid

Literal translation: Everything has its time. Meaning: Things will happen when the time is right, or things will unfold in their own time.
