Victoria began showing films in 1936. Visit Stockholm says the cinema’s interior, designed by Ernst Grönwall, has been well preserved. The cinema has also been renovated and modernised several times since it opened.

It started as a one-screen cinema and is now a multiplex with eight screens. Modern surround-sound systems are installed across the cinema, according to Visit Stockholm. Visitors go to Victoria to watch films; the venue combines those later technical updates with an interior that dates from its early years.

The details available here describe the cinema’s history and layout, but do not give current film listings, screening times, ticket prices or the length of a visit. Check the cinema’s own listing for current screenings and practical details before setting out.
