Söder Mälarstrand’s swimming pier is a small wooden bathing structure at berth 14, below Münchenbryggeriet on Södermalm. It sits beside the quay balcony and is open year-round, including this week. Visit Stockholm says the water is kept ice-free in winter, so cold-water swimming is possible in November.

The pier has an opening in its middle. Inside it, a lowered basket with a netted bottom reaches 1.6 metres deep. Stockholm city says the structure is designed to protect swimmers from currents and boat traffic. Swimming is allowed only inside the pier, not beyond its railings or from the other piers at the site.

The city describes it as a place for a quick dip. It also says water sampling and checks are not carried out to the same extent here as at official bathing places. The city page gives no admission price and does not specify how long a visit takes.

Mariatorget metro station is 700 metres away, and Slussen metro station is 1,100 metres away. Paid parking is available nearby.
