Monteliusvägen is a 500-metre (quarter-mile) walking path in Stockholm. Houses line one side of the route; the other side looks out over Lake Mälaren, Stockholm City Hall and Riddarholmen. Walk along the path for these views, which are especially good at sunrise and sunset.
A safety rail runs along the path. In winter, parts may be slippery, so take care underfoot. The route’s length makes it a defined walk, with houses beside it and the outlook on the other side. The view takes in the lake, the City Hall and Riddarholmen. Sunrise and sunset are the times singled out for the view, though the path description does not limit visits to those hours. The main activity is walking the route and looking out over the named places. In colder weather, watch for slippery sections; the safety rail is there along the path.
Good to know
Take care in winter, when parts of the path may be slippery.
