Minh Mat serves Vietnamese food à la carte, with dishes in different sizes. The restaurant says its menu looks beyond the noodle bowls found in tourist areas and includes dishes from the Thái, Mường and H’mông minority cuisines. It imports spices directly from villages in north-western Vietnam and says it uses ingredients from Swedish farms. Visit Stockholm lists frogs’ legs, autumn rolls and deep-fried tofu among its dishes, served in the traditional ăn chơi style.

Minh Du Alneng, a cookbook author born and raised in central Vietnam, runs the restaurant with Victor Alneng, a sommelier and former social anthropologist who researched in Vietnam. The drinks include beer and natural wines. The restaurant is on Odengatan beside Vasaparken; Visit Stockholm says S:t Eriksplan metro station is a short walk away.

Minh Mat is closed on Sundays and Mondays. It opens from 17:00 Tuesday to Friday and from 14:00 on Saturdays. Reservations are available through its booking system up to one month ahead, for groups of no more than six. The restaurant does not take bookings by email. It also offers takeaway, with a menu that differs from the à la carte menu. There is no room for a pram inside, and guests who need a high chair are asked to mention it when booking. Dogs are not allowed.
