Järvabadet is closed for the season on 2 November 2026. Stockholm’s page directs swimmers to the city’s indoor pools instead. Järvabadet is a summer-season facility.
When open, it has three pools: a lap pool, a teaching pool and a splash pool. The lap pool is 0.9–1.8 metres deep, and the teaching pool is 0.7–0.9 metres deep. Lane swimming is available on weekdays from 06:30 to 09:00; staff cannot guarantee lanes after that. The site also has a café, barbecue area, sun loungers, reception and lifeguard-trained staff. Visit Stockholm says there are designated family barbecue places and a small café. Board games and similar items can be borrowed.
Single-entry prices are 95 SEK (about $10.00) for adults, 75 SEK (about $7.89) for students, pensioners and unemployed visitors, and 20 SEK (about $2.11) for children and young people aged 4–19. The page also lists 10-visit cards: 830 SEK (about $87.40) for adults, 440 SEK (about $46.30) for students, pensioners and unemployed visitors, and 160 SEK (about $16.80) for ages 4–19.
There is little shade, so the city advises bringing a parasol and sun protection. Bring a padlock for the changing-room or storage lockers, and soap for the required shower before swimming. Children under 12 and visitors who cannot swim must stay with an adult aged at least 18. Only guide dogs are allowed; photography or filming requires permission, and e-scooters are not allowed inside. Temporary parking is available for 100 cars.
Good to know
When the pool is open, weekday lane swimming is offered from 06:30 to 09:00; lanes are not guaranteed later. Bring a padlock, soap, sun protection and, if you want shade, a parasol. Children under 12 and non-swimmers must stay with an adult aged at least 18.
