Flatenbadet is a municipal bathing place on Lake Flaten in Skarpnäck, southern Stockholm. Visit Stockholm describes the lake as one of the city’s cleanest swimming lakes. The bathing area has a beach, rocks, several jetties, a diving tower and a ramp down to the beach and water.
Walking paths run through natural surroundings and around the lake. The city lists barbecue facilities, a climbing frame, a children’s nature trail with information about trees and birds, boule courts, a beach-volleyball court, swings and an outdoor gym. Toilets and changing facilities are by the bathing area, and an accessible toilet is beside the food-service building. In summer, there is a kiosk and food service, as well as mini-golf. Parking is available.
A sauna beside the bathing area is run by the volunteer association Flatens Bastuförening. It is open to the public at certain times, and sessions can be booked through the association’s website. The city says toilets are open during bathing season, while the kiosk and mini-golf are summer facilities. It does not give dates for those periods, so their opening this week is not established.
