Hallonbergen is a Stockholm metro station on the blue line, route 11. Its walls feature station art by Elis Eriksson and Gösta Wallmark, including colourful monsters and imaginative contraptions. The artists drew on childhood for the images. The first tenants moved into Hallonbergen’s Million Programme housing in 1969, and construction of homes continued into the 1970s, when the district got its own station.

Art guide Marie Andersson says Eriksson and Wallmark used drawings from their own childhoods and pictures made by their children. Visit Stockholm says the station’s name sounds like something from a children’s book or fairy tale, a fit for the imagery. A visit centres on looking at the wall art and its figures and machines. The station is on the blue line’s route 11. The material gives no visit duration or practical details about prices or times, so check current travel information before setting out.
