Copenhagen Zoo’s website lists tigers, pandas, giraffes, Humboldt penguins, hippos, chimpanzees, wombats, Tasmanian devils, snakes and other reptiles. It offers bookable “Up Close” experiences with several of these animals. The penguin experience includes feeding Humboldt penguins; other sessions introduce visitors to the animals and, in the case of tigers, their training. A guided experience with snakes and other reptiles is also listed.
The zoo’s late-October updates say its two female polar bears may be pregnant after a visit from the male bear Bill. The zoo says it hopes for one or more cubs in December. Its 29 October update describes the giraffe house as warm during autumn and says visitors can see giraffes there from a different angle. A rare Amur leopard cub was born at the zoo, according to a 24 September update; the zoo says about 110 Amur leopards remain in the wild. For food and drink, the website lists Hansens ice cream, sweets and coffee.
