The Maritime Museum and Aquarium combines maritime exhibitions with aquariums showing seaweed forests, fish and a living coral reef. Visitors can explore Ocean Planet, about the world ocean, and Sea of Stories, which introduces people who have sailed the seas for centuries. Children’s exhibitions give children and adults spaces to explore the ocean together.
The museum’s website lists a new exhibition, Sharks, Camera, Action!, following underwater photographer Christina Karliczek Skoglund from the Bohuslän coast to Greenland. It features sharks from cold seas, including a baby shark and the Greenland shark, through films and photographs. It also looks at the work behind the camera. The museum’s website offers ten suggested highlights around the venue.
Café One serves seasonal meals and pastries. The museum says its dishes are eco-smart and sustainable, preferably made with produce from nearby, and that vegan and gluten-free options are available. A 2026 museum card costs 150 kronor (about $14.4 or £11.2) and allows unlimited visits for a year. The museum says the card is sold online and at museums.
