Gothenburg visitor centre answers questions about the city, its surroundings and the Gothenburg archipelago. Staff can help visitors plan around attractions, events, activities, excursions, entertainment, hotels and restaurants, and explain how to get to places. The centre also has an events calendar and can assist with booking seasonal boat tours to the archipelago.
The shop sells souvenirs and gifts from Gothenburg, the archipelago and Sweden, with products described as being in all price ranges. Its range includes locally made goods from the archipelago, Dalecarlian wooden horses made in Nusnäs and towels from the Ekelunds linen weaving mill in Horred.
Visitors can sit down, use free Wi-Fi and look through destination brochures. Children have a corner themed around Alfie Atkins and Universeum. The centre has an eco-labelled Kranmärkt tap for refilling water bottles, and sells refillable bottles. Tap water is free. The entry’s 2026 opening-hours schedule runs only through August 30, so it does not give opening times for this week in November.
