Göteborgs Remfabrik is in Gårda, at Åvägen 15. The factory has changed little since the turn of the 20th century, and production ended in November 1977 when staff switched off the machines and left. The City of Göteborg preserved the building, and an association runs the museum. Volunteers keep the machinery and operating skills in use: the factory makes ribbons, lace and trimmings, which are sold in the museum shop.

The next listed opening is Sunday, 8 November, from 11:00 to 14:00, with a tour at noon. The museum also plans a Christmas market on 21 and 22 November, open 11:00 to 16:00. Admission, including a tour, costs 80 SEK (about $7.50, £5.90); students pay 40 SEK (about $3.75, £2.95). Children under 16 enter free when with family. The shop keeps the same hours as the museum. Cash, cards and Swish are accepted.

No advance booking is required for scheduled tours. Group tours can be arranged for a chosen time and cost 900 SEK (about $84, £66) for up to 20 people. The museum is accessible on the entrance floor. It has no lift or accessible toilet. Parking is available in the courtyard.
