The Museum of Mölndal is a cultural history museum in Kvarnbyn, the old industrial area beside the rapids. It is a 15-minute walk from central Mölndal, which is connected to Gothenburg by bus, train or tram.

The Open Storage pairs everyday objects with photographs, stories and questions. Visitors can look through items from daily life and read the stories and prompts alongside them. Luxury from Lindome presents chairs and other furniture dating from the 18th to the 20th century, with information about the craft. The museum also has a current temporary exhibition alongside its permanent displays. The two named exhibitions offer different ways into the museum’s collections: one brings together everyday objects, images and stories, while the other focuses on furniture from Lindome.

The museum is in a former stocking factory. Its shop sells a selected range of goods with a sustainable profile. Forscaféet serves lunch and coffee in what was once the factory kitchen. Admission is free, and the museum is open all year round.
