The Röhsska Museum’s permanent exhibition Design Stories follows design from the mid-1800s to today through more than 500 objects. The museum points to everyday examples such as a mobile phone, a T-shirt and the typeface used in its own text. Another permanent exhibition focuses on 18th-century design and craft, with figurines, decorated furniture feet and period interiors. Inspiration East Asia explores stories and influences between the Nordic countries and East Asia.

Visitors can look through an open storage display of chairs from the museum’s collection of more than 500, spanning over 300 years. Other collection subjects include crafts, industrial design, fashion, bookbinding, posters, folk textiles and Japanese woodcuts. The Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Hall is devoted to Swedish and Nordic design. The museum also has a café and gift shop, and its programme includes lectures and workshops.
