SMHI issues red warning for extreme amounts of snow in parts of Gävleborg
The start of 2026 will be cold with heavy snowfall. SMHI has issued a series of weather warnings. In parts of Gävleborg, a red warning - the highest warning level - is in effect for "extremely large amounts of snow". Households risk being completely isolated, says Viktor Bergman, meteorologist at SMHI.
