A shorter concert version of the new musical about the royal ship Vasa was arranged in the throne room at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on Monday evening, attended by, among others, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. The royal ship Vasa capsized and sank off Beckholmen in Stockholm on its maiden voyage in 1628.

The story of the royal warship Vasa is becoming a musical next year. The creators of "Vasa – The musical" are the composer and violinist Elias Gammelgård and the conductor and composer Simon Bång.
