The Post Office Chief: We're Continuing as Usual in Sweden
In Denmark, Postnord will stop delivering mail. But in Sweden, mail delivery will continue as usual and the 11,000 employees in Sweden do not need to worry about their jobs, according to Post Chief Annemarie Gardshol.
Profit increase for Postnord but no dividend
The Swedish-Danish mail and parcel deliverer Postnord reports a significant profit increase for the fourth quarter last year. However, mail volumes are plummeting and the owners – the Danish and Swedish states – will not receive any dividend according to the board's proposal in the annual report.
PostNord turns to profit
Letter volumes continue to decline at a rapid pace, minus 18 percent in the third quarter. However, package volumes are increasing, and Postnord – the Danish-Swedish package deliverer – manages to turn last year's loss into an operating profit of 86 million.
New loss for Postnord – mail volumes fall
The Danish-Swedish mail and parcel supplier Postnord reports an operating loss of 463 million kronor for the second quarter of the year. This can be compared to the loss of 725 million kronor during the corresponding quarter last year.
