life certificate
A certificate that proves you are alive, which Pensionsmyndigheten asks from people who receive a Swedish pension while living abroad. It is used to stop pensions being paid out after someone has died.
The form comes by letter in the spring or summer, and you can return it electronically, with or without e-identification, or by post. If Pensionsmyndigheten does not receive it, payments stop until a signed and stamped certificate arrives.
For some countries Sweden exchanges this information electronically with the local authorities, and only people elsewhere get the form by post. The instructions are on Pensionsmyndigheten's English pages.
