burial fee
A fee that everyone registered in Sweden with income taxed by a municipality pays through their tax, whatever their religion. It pays for the burial service: a grave or other place of rest, the cremation, a room for the ceremony and the care of public cemeteries.
In most of the country the Church of Sweden runs the burial service for everyone on behalf of the state, so you do not need to be a member to be buried in a public cemetery. The fee is separate from the church fee that members pay.
Other funeral costs, such as the undertaker, the ceremony and the gathering afterwards, are paid by the estate.
