Church of Sweden, burial services

What it handles: in most of the country the Church of Sweden's parishes run the cemeteries and the burial service for everyone, members or not. It also offers funerals, weddings and baptisms for members.

How to reach it: contact the local parish (församling); find it through svenskakyrkan.se.

Where people get stuck: you do not need to be a member, or religious, to be buried in a public cemetery; the burial service is paid for through the burial fee on your tax.
