Sales of used cars are falling for the first time in two years, according to a fresh report from car dealer KVD Bil. Compared to last year, the decline during the second quarter is 3.1 percent.
However, sales of electric cars are increasing sharply. During the second quarter, 20,812 used electric cars were sold – an increase of 43.7 percent compared to the same time last year. According to KVD Bil, this is a sign that more and more people are now daring to buy an electric car, and the electric car market is growing while gasoline and diesel cars are declining.
Prices for used cars fell slightly during the second quarter, according to Bilpriser, which is a sister company to KVD Bil. This applied particularly to gasoline cars.
