"A historic milestone". This is how Defence Minister Pål Jonson (M) comments on today's event in Latvia, where Swedish soldiers have joined a NATO-led brigade for the first time.
"As part of NATO's common defence, we are now strengthening security in the Baltic Sea region and stand united for a safer future", Jonson writes on X.
Latvia's Defence Minister also writes on X and welcomes the Swedish soldiers: "The alliance is united and stronger than ever".
