Deliveries during the quarter amounted to just over 358,000 cars, compared with analysts' expectations of about 365,000–370,000 cars.

Although Tesla did not meet expectations, deliveries were up compared to the same period last year, when just under 337,000 cars were delivered.

The stock fell sharply on the US stock exchange when trading opened on Thursday afternoon.

The automaker struggled in 2025, with around 1.64 million cars delivered compared to 1.79 million in 2024.

Tesla is trying to broaden its production to include driverless taxis and humanoid robots, but those products have not yet reached the market.
