Indian Tata Autocomp Systems is buying IAC Group, the bankrupt manufacturer of components for the automotive industry, reports Sveriges Radio P4 Väst.

IAC Group had around 1,400 employees in Färgelanda, Skara, and Göteborg when the company filed for bankruptcy in the summer of 2024, citing pandemic effects.

Tata Autocomp Systems, established in 1995, currently operates around 60 production facilities focused on automotive components worldwide. The company is part of the Indian Tata sphere.

I can confirm that we have entered into a so-called preliminary agreement with a buyer, says IAC Group's trustee Mikael Kubu at Ackordcentralen.

However, he refuses to confirm that it is indeed Tata Autocomp that is the buyer.

It's a large global company, he says.

According to Kubu, the goal is to reach a "full agreement" by mid-March.

The information that a preliminary agreement has been reached with a buyer was previously reported by Di.se.
