The Italian-American car giant Stellantis faced strong headwinds in the first quarter. The deliveries of cars plummeted by 9 percent year-on-year to 1.2 million cars in the quarter, writes the conglomerate – which owns car brands such as Jeep manufacturer Chrysler and the European car brands Fiat and Peugeot.
In North America, the decline was even more dramatic, down by 20 percent. In Europe, the decline totaled 8 percent.
The delivery volumes include both what the car manufacturer delivers to retailers and directly to customers.
