Kia is recalling over 640,000 hybrid cars, of several models, worldwide, writes Vi Bilägare. This is because a risk has been discovered that water can leak into a circuit board. In the event of a short circuit, a fire can occur in the engine compartment.
The affected models are Kia Ceed and Xceed, manufactured between 2019 and 2023, and in addition Kia Niro, manufactured 2015-2022.
In Sweden, it concerns approximately 53,700 cars, according to Kia for Vi Bilägare. Kia will contact the car owners, and subsequently a workshop check will be booked. If necessary, a free repair will be performed.
