Polestar posts huge Q2 loss as US sales halt hits results

In connection with the quarterly figures, the company is now lowering its sales forecast for the full year 2026. In an update, the company writes that sales are expected to rise by a "single-digit percentage", after previously communicating a double-digit sales increase.

Financially, things are also going really badly for the pressured company.

One of the reasons now given is the sales ban in the US linked to regulations regarding software and connected vehicles from companies under Chinese or Russian control.

Polestar is largely owned by Chinese Geely founder Li Shufu, among others. Geely-controlled Volvo Cars owns almost 20 percent of Polestar.
