The Norwegian police are introducing temporary internal border control. The background is an increased threat level in the country.
The purpose of the temporary internal border control is to give the police a few more tools for border control, says police officer Tone Vangen.
It's about, for example, gathering information, passenger data, and greater opportunities to deport and reject persons, according to Vangen.
The border crossings are not expected to take longer than before, however.
