A double rate cut or "just" 0.25 percentage points. This is the question ahead of the Swedish Central Bank's next interest rate decision.
The counterpart in New Zealand chooses to go with the former, i.e., to lower the policy rate by 0.5 percentage points, which is now the second consecutive rate cut after the more unexpected cut in August.
New Zealand's policy rate is, however, still significantly higher than the Swedish one. The policy rate in New Zealand is now at 4.75 percent, in Sweden it is at 3.25 percent.
