The opposition has 51.3 percent of voter support compared with 46.6 percent for the Tidö parties in Indikator Opinion's August poll. The difference between the blocs is 4.7 percentage points, and the gap has thus almost halved since June, according to Ekot.
The Moderates are up by just over one percentage point and the Social Democrats are down by the same amount. However, both changes are within the margin of error.
The S has had a declining curve since November and lands in this survey at 31.3 percent. M gets 18.9 percent and thus narrows the gap to SD, which in this survey gets 19.7 percent.
The Center Party receives 5.9 percent, the Left Party 7.6 and the Green Party 6.5.
KD is at 5.8 percent and the Liberals remain below the parliamentary threshold with support of 2.2 percent.
S leader Magdalena Andersson comments on the narrowing gap:
"To be honest, I probably expected it to have happened earlier," she says.
Andersson emphasizes that the bloc difference is still "large." What the declining trend for S is due to remains to be analyzed, she says.
"There is an opinion poll that counts, and it is the one on election day. And we will fight all the way to the end," she says.
