The world's richest man, Elon Musk, has increased his lead over number two on Bloomberg's billionaire index.
The 21.9 percent surge in electric car manufacturer Tesla's stock on Thursday, following a report for the third quarter of the year from the company, contributed to an increase in Musk's estimated wealth of 33.5 billion dollars (equivalent to 354.4 billion kronor) on Thursday.
This means that Musk's total wealth, according to Bloomberg, is now up to 270.3 billion dollars (approximately 2,860 billion kronor).
Number two on Bloomberg's index of the world's richest, Jeff Bezos – founder and CEO of e-commerce giant Amazon – had to settle for an increase in wealth of 1.4 billion dollars to 209.2 billion dollars in the shadow of Musk.
Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is number three on the list, with an estimated wealth of 201 billion dollars.
